The following message was sent out by the State Lodge to have local lodges get geared up for this new National FOP initiative. Lodge 18 responded and has completed the nessary paperwork in preparation for the initiative. I offer it here as a heads up for local members.
See President Anaya's message below and attached flyer.
Thank you,

Brothers and Sisters,
I am reaching out on behalf of the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police regarding an exciting national initiative that carries real, tangible benefits for the children of our own members right here at home.
The National Fraternal Order of Police, the FOP Auxiliary, and the Gratitude Initiative (GI) have joined forces to launch Law Enforcement Child Month — a nationwide awareness and fundraising campaign scheduled for July 2026. This inaugural effort is designed to celebrate and support the children of law enforcement officers across the country, and Washington State lodges have a direct role to play.
Here is what makes this particularly meaningful for our members: funds raised through your lodge go directly back to the children of your lodge members. GI's College Success Academy — a proven, comprehensive college and career preparatory program covering PSAT/SAT/ACT test prep, financial aid counseling, and academic coaching — will be provided FREE of charge to the teens of full-time, retired, and fallen law enforcement officers. FOP membership numbers will be used to streamline enrollment, eliminating the need for additional proof of employment or dependency.
To ensure your lodge and its members receive all program resources, communications, and enrollment access beginning July 1st, the National FOP and GI are asking all lodge leaders to complete a brief contact information form no later than May 15th.
This takes only a few minutes and ensures your lodge is positioned to participate from day one. You may also add additional lodge leaders' contact information or forward the form directly to them.
The children behind the badge sacrifice alongside their parents every day. This is our opportunity to invest in their futures. I encourage every lodge leader to complete this simple step before the May 15th deadline and begin preparing your lodge for a successful Law Enforcement Child Month.
Fraternally,
Jeff Anaya
